Ojala Floral Wedding Gallery for Kelsey & Adrian

Kelsey and Adrian Los Olivos Wedding

It was a marriage of the last days of summer and the winter ahead.

Crisp, bright whites played with apricot and peach tones before heading over to a little berry red where they deepened to a burgundy, all bedded amongst feathered and fragrant local greens that rambled and crawled along the farm tables.

an autumnal kind of love

A mid-October day, the kind that’s slightly too hot but when a breeze kicks up, you throw your head back and let it rustle you the way it does the trees.  The bride and her girls were getting ready in a white board and batten cottage across from the ceremony site set back by a deep, wide porch.  There was a bustle of women in varying shades of jewel tones that came in and out of the house, and sought reprieve from the sun on the shaded porch.

I chit chatted with many of them as I gave them a play by play on the deconstructed arch we were building underneath the water tower.  Friends and family had overtaken the Los Olivos hotel for one last nuptial hurrah.  Kelsey and Adrian would be the last couple to get married at the site before it underwent a change of hands.

The décor concept and color palette were informed by the in-between season.  It was a marriage of the last days of summer and the winter ahead.  Crisp, bright whites played with apricot and peach tones before heading over to a little berry red where they deepened to a burgundy, all bedded amongst feathered and fragrant local greens that rambled and crawled along the farm tables.

Once the sun sank a little further to the west, the ceremony commenced.  The vibrancy of the afternoon faded to a softer note and a quietude took over the small, peaceful corner of the valley.  Kelsey’s father proudly walked his beautiful daughter to Adrian where the couple spoke their vows softly under the swaying trees.  Guests leaned in to listen to love on the whisper of a breeze which carried them from a summer sun to the revelries of a crisp, autumn night.  A blanket of warm candelight covered the party-go’ers as they danced, sang and cheered well into the night in celebration of Kelsey and Adrian’s love.
