The majestic Taft Gardens and Nature Preserve was the idyllic setting for Christy and Kevin’s special day.  They exchanged vows under a magnificent oak tree where guests convened after sipping cocktails and wandering the well manicured gardens.  We chose light and feathery flowers to play against the striking, often Dr. Seuss like shapes of unusual plantlife within the gardens. 

For ceremony, white washed clay demi-john pots spilled over with queen anne’s lace, cosmos, xeranthemum and gomphrena.  Children ran freely under parasols and rose petals blessed the couple during their first moments as husband and wife.  For reception, we added ruffled garden roses and dahlias to the composition for a classic approach.  After dinner in the Lily Garden, the couple cut into a layered berry tart made by Roxanne Rosensteel and danced under a canopy stars and a waning blue moon.
